Rhine Falls – Switzerland

Rhine Falls

Our trip to Rhine Falls, Switzerland, my family came to England for holidays and it is a big group of us so we joined the tour for 10 Days. I don’t have to bother to plan the places to visit or the hotels as all are in the package tour $68 Euro per person per day.  We have an early breakfast today as our trip consist of visiting the Lucerne Lake, Rhine Falls and the Black Forest in Germany.  I love the Rhine Falls in the Switzerland, it is the largest waterfall in Europe and  amazing beautiful experience to view the sight of this waterfall.

Rhine Falls

The Rhine Falls, the biggest Falls in Europe, offer the visitor a spectacular sight!17,000 years ago this impressive wonder of nature was formed and is now the main attraction for countless visitors from all over the world.Over a width of 150 metres and a height of 23 metres, an average of 700,000 litres of water cascade over the rocks every second. A boat ride to the famous rock in the middle of the Falls and the short walk to the top, is an unforgettable experience for every visitor.

Rhine Falls

Tourists have been awed by the Rhine Falls for centuries. In the 19th century, the painter J. M. W. Turner made several studies and larger paintings of the falls.

As our schedule for the day was packed we only allow one and half hour at this Rhine Falls we don’t have the time for the boat trip or walk up to the top of the platform to experience the waves hitting on our faces. Rhein Falls is a beautiful tourist attraction and there is a bridge and a park surrounding this park. It is easily access by car or local bus or train. The entry fee is $5.00 Euro and it worth every cent to visit this beautiful waterfall.
