Been told the sunset in Goreme is spectacular, we are ready to go out for our walk in the Goreme valley to see the breathtaking scenery in sunset.  During our walk at the Goreme valley, there are lot of abandoned rock houses which deemed unsafe for local to use or stay.  The hotel, Traveller’s  CavePension is in Nevsehir, behind the hotel there is a trekking path leading up to the mountains.

Follow the walking path, we can view the valley in 360  degree, surrounded by the mountains. Awesome rocks formations are lighted up by the sunset, casting a red glow to this fabulous  valley.  On our way up to the mountains, to see such a rugged, nature formed sculptures are awesome.  We stay at the top of the mountains till the blue hour and walk back to our hotel to meet our son for our dinner.

It took us about 3 hours to reached Alishan Mountains,  half way up to the mountains, it was fogging and the roads totally covered by the mist. All we can see is misty white covered a large part of the mountains and the reserve. We got into park and found our way to check in our hotel, the tour company had booked us into a lousy village hotel, every where we can see dirt and spiderwebs around the walls and floors.

The staff working there were very friendly and we  booked our additional trips to visit the reserve and  morning sunrise with them.  Our driver was not allow to take us into the reserve, it was a regulation set by the reserve, and  we must wake up at 3.00 a.m. in the morning for this mini tour. We been offered 2 tours – one is by the train which we  will see only the morning sunrise and the train trip and another more expensive tour  which covered all the important landmarks in the Alishan and cost 3 to 4 times different.

When we reached our hotel,  the place were full of butterflies and moths, I have never see such a great varieties of these before.  So spent a great time time taking photos of the butterflies and moths and totally forgotten I need to wake up at 2.00 a.m. the next morning for the mini tour.

Herne Bay, East Blean, Kent

\We have to sent my daughter to her hostel in Kent. I took this opportunity to visit the Canterbury, Kent. Enjoy ourselves at the Canterbury castle which the entrance is free. and would love to visit the Cathedral but the entrance fee is 11.00 gbp per adult. We weren’t keen to visit the church so we walk around  the town and had our lunch.

We drove to Blean, a national woodland and it is another half an hour drive to reach Blean and have 5 different entrance to this woodland and it was almost 4.30 p.m. It was too late to wander around in the woodland and drove to Herne Bay.

A small seaside town in Kent. Herne Bay’s seafront is home to the world’s first freestanding purpose-built Clock Tower, built in 1837; from the late Victorian period until 1978, the town had the second-longest pier in the United Kingdom.

Its popularity as a holiday destination has declined over the past decades, due to the increase in foreign travel and to a lesser degree exposure to flooding that has prevented the town’s redevelopment.

Walking along the Pier and waiting for the sun to go down as it was a cloudy day. I had to wait for about one and half hour for the sunset.  After taking some photos and it was time for me to pack up as we had four to five hours to drive back home.

Golden Rule of landscape photography

I have learn from the great photographers that if you want your photos to get the result of top pros then there is a golden rule for the landscape photography to shoot only two times a day. To shoot at Dawn and Dusk as it is the only times of the day when you get soft, warm light and soft shadows that give professional quality lighting for the landscape.

i try my best to take photos around these two times of the days whenever I can.I find that the golden rule is a good advice to take on board as it does improve my skill. Try this golden rule for landscape photography and see whether it help or not.Image

I love walking. With my school work loads I have lesser time for this leisure walk.  I find walking is soothing, relaxing and it is also form of exercise for me to slim down.  I bring my camera with me for my walk as it act as a companion to me that I  not alone and can use it to snap anything I fancy. I live in a small village with little hills behind my house and rolling fields sketching miles and miles. Let’s go hiking together my friends…

France Alps – Change of lifestyle

I love winter and dream of going up a mountain peak during winter time. We booked into a hotel in Passy  so that we can visit Chamonix.  I have so much fun, pleasure and emotionally in love with  the mountains peaks of this beautiful places.  Back home from France I decided to pursue  my hobby to go for further study in photography.  I have registered for  Foundation Arts and Designs which is a Diploma course. During my first 3 months course  I had been selected to do some tapestry artwork to exhibit at Lord Lieutenant ‘s office in West Midland. We just have our midyear exhibition in the Work Gallery in Birmingham and was shocked that more than 200 guests turned up for the 2 hours opening event.  I simply can’t believe that a trip to France which kick me to move forward and totally change my lifestyle. Every day is so busy with course works and getting ideas for our project and our final exhibition will be open house for 2 weeks and we only have just 8 weeks to design and make our final project. I have decided to go for my university study  for Fine Arts in September 2014 and hopefully  my dream will come true one day.
