Llanuwchllyn Station, Bala
Our journey to Wales – I had booked our hotel rooms in the National Park of Bala. On our way to the hotel, we came upon Llanuwchllyn Station. The railway’s head quarter is located in the pretty Welsh village of Llanuwchllyn, there are ample free car parking, refreshments, small gift shop, toilets and picnic tables for locals families day outing, The storage and repair facilities can be found here.
On our way to the station, we met a lady enjoying herself, happily and lovingly painting a portion section of the train. The serene and pretty Welsh country side surrounding the station. We can get the train tickets from the cafe, drinks and foods also serve here.
Llanuwchllyn Station features an original Great Western Signal Box that is often open to visitors and provides an unique perspective on the station. All trains start and finish the journey at Llanuwchllyn and early visitors may be able to view the day’s engine being prepared prior to the departure of the first train of the day.
Each trip to Bala and back, the locomotive is serviced at the water tower at the western edge of the Llanuwchllyn station site, where this fascinating process can be viewed. The Bala Lake Railway offers a delightful 9 mile – approx 1 hour , return journey along Llyn Tegid (Bala Lake), through the beautiful and natural Snowdonia National Park.
We didn’t want to go for the steam train rides and spent our times at this gorgeous and beautiful steam station. I had a happy hour of clicking my camera on the locals and their families enjoying the day outing at this station.

The Rhine Falls, the biggest Falls in Europe, offer the visitor a spectacular sight!17,000 years ago this impressive wonder of nature was formed and is now the main attraction for countless visitors from all over the world.Over a width of 150 metres and a height of 23 metres, an average of 700,000 litres of water cascade over the rocks every second. A boat ride to the famous rock in the middle of the Falls and the short walk to the top, is an unforgettable experience for every visitor.
Tourists have been awed by the Rhine Falls for centuries. In the 19th century, the painter J. M. W. Turner made several studies and larger paintings of the falls.
As our schedule for the day was packed we only allow one and half hour at this Rhine Falls we don’t have the time for the boat trip or walk up to the top of the platform to experience the waves hitting on our faces. Rhein Falls is a beautiful tourist attraction and there is a bridge and a park surrounding this park. It is easily access by car or local bus or train. The entry fee is $5.00 Euro and it worth every cent to visit this beautiful waterfall.
A visit to Passy, France
My first visit to Passy Plateau in France. Our hotel is in Passy where the Passy plateau is just next to the hotel.
We are lucky that the hotel room is cheap and also can view the sunrise and sunset on the mountains just right in front of the door steps of the hotel.
Early in the morning we drive up the snake roads leading to the mountains where tourists can ski on the mountains slopes.
Amazing beautiful mountains peaks and ranges where we can just walk on the slopes.
There is a nature museum building where tourists can visit, at the building there is a telescope where members of the staff can show us how to use it to view the mountains peaks and ranges.
There is a beautiful Passy Natural Reserve Park with a beautiful lakes surrounding by the mountains ranges.
We have enjoy ourselves at this beautiful park and the water in the lake look like emerald jade. After that we drive to the town centre in Chamonix to have our dinner, unfortunately we are too late to visit Aiguille de midi.
Horseshoe Fall, North Wales
Horseshoe Fall in North Wales is spectacular and beautiful. I love this place so much that I have been back a few times and enjoy myself so much. Horseshoe Fall is a man made weir to let the water fall into the Llangollen canal. At Llangollen town centre about 3 miles lead to the Horseshoe Pass which the snake road leading to the top of the mountains. At the foot of these mountains there is a Roman remain of Abbey where there is a park for caravans. About 1 miles from the Abbey there is a small road leading to the Horseshoe Fall hotel, follow the path to the hotel as the Horseshoe fall is about 60 meter away from the hotel.
In front of the hotel there is rugged stones path leading to the river with big grey rocks for trekking. The big grey rocks are slippery but it is so beautiful. with the water from the weir and it create white foaming spray on the flowing water. I spent hours sitting on the stones. I sat at there for hours enjoying the beautiful sights and taking photos of it. I have wonderful time at this beautiful spot and highly recommend to anyone if you happen in Llangollen, North Wales this is a spectacular and beautiful place to visit.
Pistyll Rhaeadr,North Wales
Pistyll Rhaeadr is one of the seven wonder in North Wales. It is 240 ft high and is the tallest single drop waterfall in United Kingdom. Pistyll Rhaeadr is a beautiful enchanting waterfall in the Berwyn mountains. It is a single car road leading the way up to the car park where we can see the waterfall. We can either park the car in the town centre and walk up to the mountains which is around 2 or 3 miles to reach the waterfall. It is easier to drive up to the car park at the bottom of the hill and walk up to the waterfall. There are beautiful mountains and rolling field surrounding this beautiful waterfall.
Golden Rule of landscape photography
I have learn from the great photographers that if you want your photos to get the result of top pros then there is a golden rule for the landscape photography to shoot only two times a day. To shoot at Dawn and Dusk as it is the only times of the day when you get soft, warm light and soft shadows that give professional quality lighting for the landscape.
i try my best to take photos around these two times of the days whenever I can.I find that the golden rule is a good advice to take on board as it does improve my skill. Try this golden rule for landscape photography and see whether it help or not.

Exercise – walking
I love walking. With my school work loads I have lesser time for this leisure walk. I find walking is soothing, relaxing and it is also form of exercise for me to slim down. I bring my camera with me for my walk as it act as a companion to me that I not alone and can use it to snap anything I fancy. I live in a small village with little hills behind my house and rolling fields sketching miles and miles. Let’s go hiking together my friends…
